Vision
Having long been interested in outdoor recreation, and with a lifetime invested in agriculture this is a continued investment in a passion. While utilizing and sharing assets at hand I came up with the idea of combining outdoor recreation with food. These are two of the most important factors in developing a healthy lifestyle combined into enjoyable outings at your convince. Membership keeps trail usage and food consumption in balance and can grow or shrink as necessary, it also eliminates checkouts and shares the risks and benefits associated with growing crops throughout the membership. The trails are geared towards mountain biking, but runners and walkers are welcome. I hope to provide membership with bike trailers kept on site to enhance the pick and ride experience. Potential limits will be set on quantities to help share the bounty somewhat equally but will also be on a first come first serve basis. In that the farm is being setup in part as a food forest concept, wildlife will certainly scout the crops regularly and play a role in food availability. While it is our hope to let nature take its course as much as possible, we will take some control measures when deemed appropriate. Started in 2025, production will slowly increase each year, with berries and roses becoming more available as early as 2026 and planted fruit trees coming into the mix in upcoming years, you will have to be patient if you like nuts and Christmas trees. Early membership will enjoy trials, pumpkins, maple syrup and any native crab apples, berries and nuts. Membership cost will go up as the farm grows, with hopes each member gets an adequate return from that investment.
